Want to host an event in Assetto Corsa Competizione but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you are tired of using the old random generator over and over again. We have got the solution here! Try out our new ACC Event Generator.
What it Does
The tracc.eu ACC Event Generator is a simple tool which can randomly generate you any sort of event for Assetto Corsa Competizione. Whether you require a single event or an entire championship, you can generate it there.
It can generate even which cars you should drive, which weather each single race should have and how long the sessions should be, among others.
It’s even possible to filter the generatable variables by DLC. Don’t have, for example, the British GT DLC? You can deselect it and not risk having an event say “Snetterton”.
How to Work the ACC Event Generator
Access is easily gained by following this link: https://tracc.eu/acc-event-generator/. On that page, you can easily access the tool to randomly generate your events.
Navigating the Event Generator
Event or Championship?
Navigating the tool is simple: First, at the top, you select if you want to generate a single event or an entire championship. If you do want to generate a championship, you can next select how many rounds you want and if circuits should be able to be repeated or not.
! Note: If you select fewer rounds than available circuits, the tool will automatically repeat circuits after circling through each of them.
Select your DLCs
In the next part, you can select your DLCs. Normally, all DLCs are enabled. But you can de-select any you do not want to be included, which will filter out content for the later options. You can also re-enable any DLC, should you change your mind.
Circuit Selection
You can choose to randomise the circuit used in the event(s) or not. If you untick the “Randomise” button, you can select the circuit from a drop-down menu.
Next, if you do randomise, you can de-select any more circuits you do not want to include. Any tracks disabled by the DLC filter are not available anymore. This way you can manually filter out additional circuits.
If you want to generate a championship, you also get the option to generate a new circuit for each round, or to repeat the same circuit. This could help if you want to generate a single event with mutliple sprint races.
Car Selection
You can also choose to generate a random class or single car. If you de-select the “Randomise” button, you can select if you want a whole class or single car.
If you do randomise, you can again filter out any unwanted classes or cars for the generation.
Finally, when generating a championship, you can decide if you want the same class for every round or a new class for every round. Choosing a new class or car for each round can make for an interesting championship, challenging drivers at adaptability.
Time of Day Selection
You can also randomise the time of day at which the race is supposed to start, or not. If you choose to not randomise the time of day, you can pre-select a time starting at the full hour. This is in line with the Assetto Corsa Competizione server setup.
If you do randomise, you can select to do a fully random run, predominantly day or night or a custom hour list.
- Fully random takes all 24 hours without any weights.
- Predominantly day can generate all 24 hours, but mostly generates daytime starts.
- Predominantly night can also generate all 24 hours, but mostly chooses a night-time start.
- Hour list lets you pre-select a certain set of start hours, which you can write in the appearing field.
! Hour lists work under a 24-hour system. If you enter a.m. or p.m., it will not work!
Finally, if working on a championship, you can randomise a new start time each round or keep one for each round, if you prefer consitency.
Weather Selection
You can choose to fully randomise, randomise weighted towards clear or rainy or select any of the preset weather modes.
Depending on whether you generate a single event or a championship, you can also choose to generate a new weather each round if you select a random selection mode.
Ambient Temperature Selection
You can also select to randomise the temperature. Check this to generate something random within the confines of Assetto Corsa Competizione weather settings (10°C-40°C). You can also choose to keep one generation for all events or a new random value for every round.
If you uncheck randomisation, you can enter your preferred temperature in the resulting text box.
! Note: Unchecked randomisation means you also have to enter a value between 10°C and 40°C.
Session Length Selection
Your final randomisation option is for the session length. You can choose any minute amount between 1 minute and 24 hours, different presets, or a custom session length list.
- Allow all (1-1440min): This randomises any value of minutes between 1 minutes and 24 hours.
- Endurance preset: This includes customary endurance lengths: 2.4h, 3h, 4h, 5h, 6h, 7h, 8h, 9h, 10h, 12h, 24h.
- Sprint preset: This allows customary sprint race lengths: 20min, 30min, 40min, 45min, 55min, 60min.
- Normal (endurance + sprint): This includes all presets from the endurance and sprint presets.
- Custom length list: Here, you can enter custom race session lengths in minutes and seperated by commas.
! Note: The custom length list currently operates only with minute timers.
Dealing with the Results
Next, to finish, you can press the big, green “Generate Championship” button. Then, you get the events cars with your randomly generated values right below.
You can also choose to Re-Roll or to copy the link to the random event selection. This puts the link to the page with all of the settings and results into your clipboard. Afterwards, you can paste it anywhere you want. Maybe paste it into your Discord server or wherever you talk to your sim racing buddies to show them the result.
